A lecture, event, and website commemorating the great fire that reduced the entire town of Hardenberg to ashes in 1708. Exactly 300 years later, on May 8, 2008, the fire was reenacted and placed in the contemporary context of urban expansion, in which local cultural heritage had to make way.
